Inspector Nashed, BVSC, DHMS, Compliance Specialist, Clinical Trial Compliance Program, Health Canada, Regulatory Operations and Enforcement Branch.

Inspector Nashed graduated as a Veterinarian from University of Khartoum, Sudan. He successfully completed his Veterinary Internship in Vienna, Austria under the supervision of the University of Vienna. He also holds a post graduate diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Science from the Homeopathic College of Canada.

Inspector Nashed has been an inspector with the Federal Government of Canada since 1998. In 2002 he joined Health Canada where he held numerous positions: compliance officer with the Drug Compliance Verification (CV) and Investigations Unit. From 2005 to present, GCP Compliance Specialist with the Clinical Trial Compliance Program (CTCP), where he conducts inspections and CVs of clinical trials. He also held for almost two years a supervisory position of the Drug Investigations and Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) Unit.

Inspector Nashed helped in the development of sponsor inspections which is one of the new entities that ROEB started enforcing in 2017. He has hence been conducting sponsor inspections in addition to regular Qualified Investigator inspections.  He also represented Health Canada on international inspections and delivered numerous presentations to industry/stakeholders.

Inspector Nashed is a member of a working group within the CTCP that is tasked with developing a plan for conducting virtual GCP inspections.”
